In November 2024, Hong Kong Design Centre relocated from The Mills to 280 Tung Chau Street. Our team was honored to collaborate with them by creating a 40-meter-long 3D floor mural on the street opposite the new venue prior to the grand opening, establishing a new photo hotspot in Sham Shui Po. During the creation process, we also led members of the public to participate in painting the mural, contributing together to the beautification of the community. Through collective effort and shared creativity, the project strengthened community bonds and infused Sham Shui Po with renewed artistic energy.
This design reflects the vibrant community spirit and collective creativity of Sham Shui Po. It’s a reminder that, despite our diverse backgrounds, stories, and cultures, we come together to create a shared environment filled with warmth and connection. The colorful puzzle cubes symbolize our collaborative efforts and diversities in building sustainable communities. The design also celebrates the rich culture of Sham Shui Po, spotlighting iconic craft supplies that honor our Sham Shui Po culture and encourage the community to continue using these materials to create new and innovative works to unleash their artistic potential. The 30 visual trick-eye effect project aims to ignite people’s creativity, prompting them to consider unique ways to interact with and capture its magic through photography. Let’s dive in and create something extraordinary together!
