Jacmila Wu

Jacmila Wu

Expressive Arts Therapist | Mural Artist

Jacmila Wu is an expressive arts therapist and mural artist who is passionate about connecting people and communities through creativity. With a background in design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a master’s degree in Expressive Arts Therapy (earned at the European Graduate School, Switzerland), she integrates visual art, drama, music, and movement to guide participants in self-exploration and emotional expression.

Jacmila specialises in combining expressive arts therapy with mural-making. Beyond inspiring individuals to create works of their own, she actively advances community-based art practices—cultivating spaces where people can support one another and grow through collaborative creation.

In recent years, she has also expanded into curatorial work. She has served as a curator for an exhibition themed around “Trees” with Conservancy Association, where she intertwined nature and artistic elements through expressive arts healing workshops. Through these programmes, participants are invited to engage with themes of nature and life, growth, and reflections on life and death.

Committed to community arts, Jacmila is dedicated to using art as a bridge across diverse groups, bringing warmth and sparks of connection into neighbourhoods. She believes that art offers not only freedom and joy in creation, but also a pathway to deeper self-awareness—inviting participants to reimagine what “aesthetics” can mean, and to discover new insights into the meaning of life through their artistic journeys.
