The mural design is a tribute to Vincent van Gogh’s famous painting “Starry Night,” reinterpreting it with various landmarks from Yau Ma Tei. This includes: Tung Nam Lou Art Hotel , Yau Ma Tei Fruit Market, Yau Ma Tei Police Station, the Red House, Hamilton Street Church, and the Yau Ma Tei Broadway Cinematheque. Additionally, there are many different cats hidden throughout the mural; can you count how many there are?

The mural was painted by local artist Mr. German Li. Mr. Li has nearly 30 years of experience in art education and has served as a senior lecturer at DesignFirst, with many of his students now working as professional art instructors.

Mr. Li has previously worked on large-scale art projects, including exterior wall art for theme venues at Ocean Park, and has been actively involved in community mural creation in recent years, allowing him to share his artistic work with a wider audience.

壁畫設計是向荷蘭印象派畫家梵高的名畫「星夜」致敬的二次創作，當中加入了許多油麻地的地標建築物，當中包括：東南樓、油麻地果欄、油麻地警署、紅屋、咸美頓街教堂及油麻地百老滙電影中心。除此之外在畫中亦隱藏了許多隻不同姿態的貓貓，你能數到有多少隻嗎？

壁畫是由本地藝術家李學鋒先生繪畫。李老師有接近30年藝術教學經驗，曾於大一藝術設計學院當高級講師，其中有許多學生亦是現職的專業藝術導師。

李老師曾於海洋公園負責主題場館外牆藝術工程以及參與不同的大型藝術項目。近年亦積極參與社區壁畫創作，從而讓他的藝術創作能夠與更多人分享。
